Seattle Stairs

This photo was taken at Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. I studied photography there and had the most fun. The Market was one of my favorite places to go. The fish market there were always throwing fish around. People would stand around watching the guys throw fish. The fish market has a monkfish displayed on a bed of ice with other fish items and the monkfish was prop so that when someone got close enough to look at it they pull a string and everytime somebody would jump out of there socks! The market was filled with fresh fruits and vegetables and cut flowers.

I would take the ferry from Bremerton across the Puget Sound every day to school and sometimes take the trolley in bad weather, but I usually walked from the ferry.

Growing up in a small town, going to someplace like Seattle was a great experince and I am anxious to get back there.

These photographs were inspired by a glass of juice that was reflecting streams of colored light on my desk.

The Highlands & Keyhole Window

When I was in Scotland a few years ago I went on one of those bus tours to the Highlands. It was so beauitful there. I do recommend that take your own tour. I wanted to spend more time there, but on those tours you are on a schedule. When I return there I will take my own tours. My Mom has a clan in the Highlands and I want to do more searching. Some day I will go back. In the mean time I have my great memories from when I was there.

This is one of my favorite photos. Though I call this my "Keyhole Window" it is actually a gun hole in a castle in Scotland where they would fire weapons from from years past. I'm not sure which castle though. I really love the way the light beams through. Some people myself included get a spiritual feel from the photo.
