I'm done with the gloomy days!

Hi all,
For the past week and a half it has been rainy, cloudy and gloomy. We have had only 1 afternoon of sunshine. The week ahead doesn't look any better. Maybe next weekend we will get some sunshine. So if you have sunshine please enjoy it and some for me too. In the mean time I will cheer myself up with my sunflower (below) and my blanketflower (above).
Last weeks market show was a large crowd and I did better and lots of good promotion was done and even possible be backs for next weeks show.
I have also been busy working on a new business venture which I hope will be ready for business in May of 2012. Really not a long time to plan a business, but I am eager to get it going. Right now I am working out the details to see if in fact I can handle such a large task. I'm working out a sample work schedule just to give myself and idea of what I can expect. Lots and lots of details to iron out. Oh what is the business venture? Well I don't want to say too much I'm a little superstitious, but it has to do with my baking and other hobbies I enjoy. My goal is to love going to work everyday without over stressing about it.
Have great day everyone!

Making social connections

Good Morning Everyone,
Well it's still rainy outside so I have had the chance to try to figure out how to get my social connections here and on Facebook. I'm slowly but surely getting there. I am determined to get my photography out there for everyone to view and of course purchase. I truly love my career as a photographer and I work long hours not just photographing but trying to figure out how to network and market my photographs. I want and will succeed as a photographer and IF I fail (and I won't!) it wouldn't be from lack of trying. I will continue to master my photography and master the business side of photography too. Perseverance, Persistence and a Positive attitude will get me to the top of my game! So for all of you who are trying to succeed in what you love and are running into a couple of walls don't give up. Keep on trying! If you want it to happen it will!
Have a wonderful day!

Everything is Bloomin!

Hi All
My peonies are finally blooming and I am photographing every chance that it isn't raining or too cloudy. The rain is starting to spread out the bushes. Next year I will get the peony rings. The Viceroy are also busy getting more Viceroy into the world. My gardens are blooming all over and in between rain drops I photograph.
Well the Bangor Outdoor Market that I am doing every Thursday night until the end of July is so so. Last week I made a little money, This week no money. I try to keep in mind that it is only 3 hours in the evening and it is still early in the season. So I will stay positive and hope for the best and no rain.
I think for now I have finally caught up with most of my work. I can take a breather and regroup.
Have a great day!

A Face Only A Mother Could Love

Hi Everyone
Yesterday I went to a friends house to help with a kitchen sink removal which luckily took no time at all then we when on a photo shoot. I shot alot of great photos. I wanted to share these because when I photographed this Snapping Turtle she was laying eggs (up to 60 plus)and she had dug a hole along side the road and dropping the eggs into it. If you look at the top photo you can see a little white egg. In about 90-120 days the little hatchlings will appear and head to the pond that is to the left of her in the bottom 2 photos. I hope I can photograph them. Though my chances are not good being I live an hour away, but now that I know what to look for I can find nests near the side of the road near my home where I have seen them on the side of the road. They lay their eggs in a sandy soil which the side of the road there is plenty. Here's hoping.
The Bangor outdoor market went well and there will be another one this Thursday 6/18.
Slowly catching up with things. Today I decided to rest up I am so exhausted that I can't really focus too much on anything. Tomorrow I'll get an early start and get things done!
Have a great day!

Busy,Busy,Busy.......

Good Morning All,

I am in the process of finishing up my marketing homework for my business class, which can I say is mind boggling. I was also trying to come up with a mission statement for my photography business. Let me tell you that was so tough! I 'm also getting ready for my first show this Thursday in Bangor, Maine. It is the Artisan Outdoor Market in Downtown Bangor from 5pm-8pm. Come on down if your in the area. The will also be music. An Elvis impersonator. Will be fun!
By the way the previous photos are of a pair of groundhog pups and a ash tree leaf. This one is of decorative iron stairs.
I have been so busy that I am having a hard time keeping up with everything. I have had to create a schedule for the entire summer so I am sure to get everything done. I hope it works out. Though I do try to make sure that I save time for me so I can re group and keep from going too crazy. I find that if I can completely forget about all my problems and do something out of the ordinary I can easily go back to the business at hand. Even if it's just reading a magazine. It's all about keeping a clear head and getting things done right.
Well back to my marketing. Chat with you soon.
Have a great day!

New Photos

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I have been so busy getting ready for my summer shows and photographing and I also started a business class and keeping up with my gardening and mowing I have had my hands full!
So far I haven't pulled out my hair yet! By the end of the month I will have all my photographs ready to start my shows, which you can see my show schedule on my website http://www.cindiresslerphotography.com/. I photograph when the weather is good. Then I started taking a business class on creating a business plan which is turning out to be very helpful with my photography business and my soon to be cookie business. Yes I am starting another business. I love to bake cookies during the holidays and I have been told on more than one occasion that I should start a cookie business and in this current economy there is no time like the present. I am also working at a Co-op where I sell my photography and soon my cookies and part of my membership at the co-op is to work 12 days from mid May to mid October. And if that isn't enough I also maintain about 2 acres plus of lawn and a large flower garden which I am determined to keep the weeds out. So needless to say life got real busy after a quiet winter. I will look forward to January when things slow down some not too much though. Who knows with any luck it won't slow down.
I'll try harder to keep in touch!
Have a great day!
